CBR theory exam with extra time: dyslexia, ADHD and slow reading
The CBR theory exam with extra time gives you 45 minutes instead of 30, for the same 50 questions and the same pass mark of 44. It is meant for people who need more reading time, for example with dyslexia or ADHD, and it is also available in English. You choose it when you book in Mijn CBR; it costs a surcharge.

Who it is for
The exam with extra time is meant for people who need more reading time: dyslexia, ADHD or other attention difficulties, or simply reading slowly in the exam language. Extra time helps with reading, not with knowledge, so prepare the same way: learn per topic and practise with full exams.

The exam with extra time exists in English as well: in 2025 the CBR held 12,487 English car theory exams with extra time, against 31,577 standard English exams. If reading English costs you time, this can make the difference between rushing and reading every question properly.
Extra time does not mean extra help: in the exam room you may not bring a dictionary, notes or other aids. Only your ID and your booking.
