The short answer
HaalTheorie gives a real 100% pass guarantee on the CBR car theory exam. If you fail, you extend your package for free by 3 months, with one click. After your exam we ask how it went, by email and in the app; you do not need to send us a result message from the CBR. Fail again? Then you extend again, until you do pass.
No points system, no minimum number of exercises, no limit on the number of times. The guarantee only stops once you have passed, and it applies to ExamenKlaar Deluxe and ExamenKlaar Plus. Good to know: the guarantee means unlimited free practice, not a refund of your CBR exam fee.

That is not a marketing trick, it is our promise. No points system, no minimum number of exercises. The only thing that counts: did you fail? Then you are not on your own.
Why a guarantee makes the difference
A resit at the CBR costs you money again and weeks of waiting. That is exactly why carrying on at no extra cost is worth so much: you lose no exam fee and no time if it does not work out the first time. If you take the exercises seriously, the chance that you fail is small. If it happens anyway, you want to know that you can simply carry on without paying again.
How does the guarantee work? In 4 steps
- You take your CBR theory exam. You have practised, your exam-ready score is green and you walk into the CBR exam with confidence.
- You did not pass. It can happen. The CBR exam is tough and sometimes nerves get in the way. That is what this guarantee is for.
- Tell us you did not pass. If your exam date is in the learning environment, we email you at the end of your exam day: Did you pass? For a week, the same question is also in the app and in My HaalTheorie. Choose No, not yet (in the app: Failed) and tap Extend for free. You do not need to send us a result message from the CBR.
- Your course runs 3 months longer, for free. You see straight away until when. If your access had already ended, the extension counts from today. Keep practising with all the questions, animations and practice exams until you pass next time.

What the guarantee is and is not
For a fair comparison with other providers, we spell it out clearly:
- It is: unlimited free practice after failing, with your full package, through the app and the website. Without a points system, without a limit.
- It is not: a refund of the CBR exam fee (€57.00 per attempt for the exam in English). You pay that directly to the CBR, and HaalTheorie has no part in it.
- Why we chose this: a one-off refund does not bring you any closer to your driving licence. Unlimited practice does. That is why we deliberately choose carrying on over money back.

How is this different from guarantees on other platforms?
Many theory platforms talk about a pass guarantee, but the conditions vary widely. Some providers require a minimum number of exercises, others only apply the guarantee to the first resit, or let it expire after a period. Some offer a partial refund instead of continued practice.

Is this really free, or are there hidden costs?
Really free. No hidden costs, no reactivation fees and no subscription that renews automatically. You pay once for your package. If you use the guarantee, it costs nothing extra.
Do I have to prove that I failed?
No. You do not need to send us a result message from the CBR. After your exam we ask how it went, by email, in the app and in My HaalTheorie. If you tell us you did not pass, you extend straight away.
What if I did not get an email?
The email goes out at the end of your exam day to everyone who entered their exam date in the learning environment. From the day after your exam, the same question is also in the app and in My HaalTheorie for a week. Had you not entered an exam date, or do you not see the question anywhere? How quickly is my course extended?
Straight away. After you tap Extend for free, your course runs 3 months longer and you see the new end date at once. If your access had already ended, the extension counts from today.
Which packages does the guarantee apply to?
The 100% pass guarantee applies to ExamenKlaar Deluxe and ExamenKlaar Plus, with the same simple procedure. The separate CBR practice exams do not come with a pass guarantee.
Do I get my CBR exam fee back if I fail?
No. The 100% pass guarantee means you keep practising for free until you pass, not money back. You pay the CBR exam fee (€57.00 per attempt for the exam in English) directly to the CBR. We deliberately choose continued learning over a one-off refund, because only more practice actually brings you closer to passing.
What if I fail more than once?
The guarantee has no limit. Every time you fail, you extend for free by 3 months again after that exam. We stay with you until you pass.
